Care Guide

Proper care helps your Puvitox watch bands, cases, screen protectors, and wearable accessories stay cleaner, fit better, and last longer in everyday use. This guide explains how to clean, protect, store, and maintain different accessory materials.

Clean Regularly Wipe your band, case, and watch area regularly to remove sweat, dust, lotion, and daily residue.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals Perfume, alcohol, bleach, strong cleaners, and abrasive tools may damage finishes or materials.
Handle With Care Install, remove, and adjust bands, cases, links, and protectors gently to avoid accidental damage.

Quick Care Rules

Most Puvitox accessories can be kept in better condition by following a few simple habits.

  • Remove dust, sweat, and residue regularly with a soft dry cloth.
  • Use only mild cleaning methods suitable for the product material.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and rough brushes.
  • Dry accessories completely before wearing or storing them.
  • Do not force connectors, clasps, cases, links, or screen protectors during installation.
  • Store accessories away from heat, moisture, direct sunlight, and sharp objects.
Important: Normal wear and tear is not considered a product defect. Scratches, fading, discoloration, coating wear, dents, and cosmetic changes may occur over time with regular use.

General Cleaning Steps

For most watch bands and accessories, basic care is enough for daily maintenance.

  1. Remove the watch band or accessory from your Apple Watch where possible.
  2. Wipe the surface with a soft, clean, lint-free cloth.
  3. If needed, slightly dampen the cloth with clean water and gently wipe the surface.
  4. Dry the item fully with a soft dry cloth.
  5. Allow the item to air dry completely before wearing, installing, or storing it.

Do not soak accessories unless the product page specifically states that the material supports water exposure. Avoid using hot water, bleach, alcohol, strong detergent, polishing chemicals, or abrasive cleaning tools.

Care by Material

Different materials require different care methods. Use the table below as a general guide, then follow any specific instructions shown on the product page.

Material / Product Type Recommended Care What to Avoid
Stainless Steel Bands Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear. Remove sweat, dust, and moisture regularly. Dry fully before storage. Avoid abrasive cloths, strong cleaners, saltwater residue, chemical exposure, and rough impact.
Milanese / Mesh Bands Gently wipe the mesh surface and magnetic area. Keep the band dry and free from metal dust or debris. Avoid pulling the mesh forcefully, bending it sharply, or exposing the magnetic area to debris buildup.
Silicone Bands Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry fully. Clean after workouts or sweating. Avoid oils, dyes, strong detergents, prolonged sun exposure, and contact with dark fabrics that may transfer color.
Nylon / Fabric Bands Gently wipe or spot clean when needed. Let the band air dry completely before wearing again. Avoid soaking, machine washing, high heat, bleach, and wearing while still damp.
Leather / Leather-Style Bands Wipe gently with a dry soft cloth. Keep away from moisture and allow the band to dry naturally if slightly damp. Avoid water soaking, sweat buildup, perfume, alcohol, direct heat, and excessive bending.
Watch Cases Remove the case occasionally and wipe dust or debris from both the case and watch surface. Avoid forcing installation, trapping sand or grit inside the case, and using harsh cleaners on coated finishes.
Screen Protectors Clean the screen before installation. Wipe the surface gently with a soft cloth after use. Avoid reinstalling used protectors, pressing with sharp tools, or applying when dust is trapped underneath.

Stainless Steel Band Care

Stainless steel bands are durable and polished, but they still need regular care. Sweat, moisture, dust, lotion, and daily friction can affect the surface over time.

  • Wipe the band with a soft cloth after daily wear.
  • Clean between links gently if dust or residue builds up.
  • Dry the band fully before storing it.
  • Avoid dropping, bending, or pulling the band with excessive force.
  • Keep away from strong chemicals, saltwater residue, perfume, and abrasive surfaces.

Small surface scratches and finish changes can occur with regular use and are considered normal wear and tear.

Silicone Band Care

Silicone bands are suitable for casual and active use, but they can still collect sweat, dust, oil, and color transfer from clothing or other surfaces.

  • Clean after workouts, sweating, or outdoor use.
  • Use a soft damp cloth for light cleaning.
  • Dry fully before wearing again.
  • Avoid contact with strong dyes, oils, lotions, and harsh cleaning products.
  • Do not store under heavy pressure or sharp objects.

Light discoloration, surface marks, and shine changes may happen over time with regular use.

Leather and Leather-Style Band Care

Leather and leather-style bands need more careful handling than metal or silicone bands. Moisture, sweat, and heat may affect the appearance and texture.

  • Keep the band away from water, sweat buildup, and high humidity.
  • Wipe gently with a dry soft cloth after use.
  • Do not soak, wash, or scrub the band.
  • Avoid perfume, alcohol, lotion, oil, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Store flat or naturally curved, away from direct sunlight and heat.

Creasing, darkening, softening, and color changes may develop naturally over time with wear.

Watch Case Care

Watch cases help complete the look and may provide everyday protection, but they should be installed and removed carefully.

  • Choose the correct case size for your Apple Watch.
  • Do not force the case if it does not fit naturally.
  • Remove the case occasionally to wipe away dust, sand, or trapped debris.
  • Clean both the watch surface and the inside of the case before reinstalling.
  • Avoid rough impact, bending, or pulling the case during removal.
Care reminder: Dust or debris trapped between the case and watch may cause marks over time. Regular cleaning helps reduce this risk.

Screen Protector Care

Screen protectors are designed to help protect the watch screen, but installation quality and daily care affect the final result.

  • Confirm the screen protector size before installation.
  • Clean the watch screen carefully before applying.
  • Check alignment before pressing down firmly.
  • Do not install if dust, hair, or debris is trapped underneath.
  • Do not remove and reuse a screen protector after installation unless the product page states otherwise.
  • Wipe the installed protector gently with a soft cloth.

Bubbles, edge lifting, or poor alignment may occur if the screen protector is installed on a dusty surface or the wrong size is selected.

Installation and Adjustment Tips

Many accessory issues happen during installation, removal, or resizing. Always handle parts gently and stop if something does not fit naturally.

  • Do not force band connectors into the watch slot.
  • Do not bend metal links or mesh bands sharply.
  • Use the correct tool when removing or adjusting links.
  • Keep small screws, pins, links, and tools away from children and pets.
  • Install screen protectors slowly and check alignment first.
  • Remove cases carefully to avoid bending or cracking the edges.

Puvitox is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, excessive force, incorrect removal, incorrect resizing, or failure to follow product instructions.

Storage Tips

Proper storage can help reduce scratches, deformation, color transfer, and finish changes.

  • Store bands and accessories in a clean, dry place.
  • Keep accessories away from direct sunlight, heat, and high humidity.
  • Do not store metal bands together with sharp objects.
  • Keep light-colored silicone or leather-style bands away from dark dyed fabrics.
  • Store screen protectors flat and protected before installation.
  • Keep small parts, links, pins, and tools in a safe place.

What Counts as Normal Wear and Tear?

Wearable accessories are used close to the skin and exposed to daily movement, sweat, clothing friction, weather, and surfaces. Some cosmetic changes may happen naturally over time.

Normal wear and tear may include:

  • Small surface scratches from daily use.
  • Minor fading, discoloration, or coating wear.
  • Marks caused by clothing friction, desk contact, or daily surfaces.
  • Leather-style creasing, darkening, or softening.
  • Silicone shine changes, light staining, or texture changes.
  • Metal finish changes caused by regular wear, sweat, or friction.
Important: Normal wear and tear is not covered by Defects & Replacement. Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, chemicals, sweat buildup, impact, or excessive force is also not considered a product defect.
